APAM PELANGI

Hi guys once again i'm cooking hehe
It been quite sometime i want to cook the "Apam Pelangi" or Rainbow Apam/Cake

Finally I made it ,
i take the recipe from here

Ingredients
2 grade A eggs
1 teaspoon ovallate
1 teaspoon Vanilla Essence
150 gram  Plain Flour
1/2 teaspoon Baking Powder - mix and sifted
90 gram Fine Sugar
125 ml Coconut Milk (Fresh or Instant)
Food dye accordingly
** i used 5 colors blue,red,yellow,green and violet




Prepare steamer
Heat the steamer.
Prepare round cake tin approximately 8 inch diameter, you can place bake paper myself i apply very thin layer majerin

Prepare the dough.
Whisk ovallate with sugar well blended.
Add the eggs -- whisk with high speed until thick
Lower the speed, pour the coconut milk and vanilla essence - mix well.
Add the flour, bit by bit till finished.

Divide dough to few parts drop your dye accordingly
In my case, i use 5 colours blue, red, green, yellow and violet.

How to make the layer? 
By using a tablespoon, scoop your dough alternately and place the dough in the center of your cake tin. Just add on top to each other. Than shake the tin to make it flat.

Ready to steam
Place into steamer, steam with medium heat for 30 minutes.



When cooked, leave to cool a bit before removed from the cans. Can serve.
